FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I buy the finished painting from you?

Yes. All paintings in the Gallery and In progress can be booked and purchased. If any of the painting you like, but have been SOLD, then don’t panic – I can make a replica (it won’t be exact the same, but it will be similar), just for you in any size that you want.

2. Can I order a painting from you?

Yes, I accept orders. After you describe the topic and send me a reference photo, I will paint the picture in my chosen way. I will discuss with you my painting styles and my finishing ideas; and for you, it will be a guarantee that you will receive a painting that is an original work.

3. What technique do you paint with?

I practice almost exclusively easel painting. In my paintings, I use the oil technique on a primed canvas. Sometimes I paint in ‘alla prima’ – ‘wet in wet; sometimes in many layers, glaze on the undercoat. It will be your choice with my advice.

4. What are the rules for ordering a painting?

I accept orders by e-mail, so contact me – we will agree on the details: size of the canvas, choose the technique, style, etc. Based on our arrangements, I will then create a sketch of the work. After accepting the sketch, I would expect you to make an advance payment of 50% of the agreed order value. And then we will set a deadline for completing the work. After completion, I will send some photos to you for approval (by email). Once you accept the work, I will ask you to pay the remaining amount. Finally, I will then send you the product in a carefully packaged and secured way.

5. Is the advance payment required before proceeding with the contract?

Yes, but only after accepting the sketch. I accept a transfer to a bank account or by PayPal.

6. What determines the price of the finished painting?

The price for a painting depends on the size of the canvas, the level of difficulty and the number of details.

7. How much are your paintings?

Just as a guide, starting price for some small canvas is from £150.00.

8. What is the order completion date?

I always agree with the client, but generally it takes 1- 6 months for oil painting and 2 – 8 weeks for an acrylic one.

 9. Painting is complete – what’s next?

Once the painting is completely dry, then I cover it with a layer of varnish, to protect it for decades. Then I pack and ship.

10. Can I order a frame from you?

Yes, but such service it’s an addition. I will help you to choose the right frame to suit your decor, but also to reflect the best of the painting.

11. How is the painting delivered?

I send the painting via a courier company, where the package is fully insured.

12. Do you accept orders from abroad?

Yes of course.
Cost of shipment, is covered by the client.
